(New) Jewels of the Sea #6

$675.00

10.5”H x 11”W

This globe was thrown, altered and trimmed on the potter’s wheel. After drying it was bisque fired. Proprietary glaze was then layered on the piece and it was raku fired. After cooling shell on top of the textured glaze is is removed with a hand grinder.

As I spray, paint and pour my glazes, I am able to transform the raku piece and create multiple layers and unique characteristics. This ensures that while some of my work may share different properties and textures, no two pottery pieces are alike.
