Spring Safari: Saturday and Sunday May 7-8 2016

Studios Open From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Each Day

From the Art Safari website...

"Nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains, various studios open their doors for an exclusive look at the artistic process. “Creativity abounds in our area, and our artists love to show off how they do what they do. We are actively getting ready for the Spring Event.” , says Cindy Ireland, 2016 Art Safari President.

A fresh break from the traditional art shows and studio strolls, this bi-annual event provides the unique opportunity to discover the inspiration behind each piece, meet acclaimed artists, and see the methods behind the final creation. Many artists provide free demonstrations and door prizes during the event.

“Young and old can ask questions, see work in progress, and sometimes they find inspiration themselves. I personally love it when kids come to my studio, they have a perspective that I can learn from.”, says Ireland.

This year’s free event will feature artists who specialize in handmade pottery, glass, photography, sculpture, jewelry, furniture, painting, drawing, fiber art, and more. Best of all, the structure of the event allows guests to explore the artist community at their own pace. Visitors often pause along the way to admire spring gardens and experience the unique communities nestled just outside of Asheville.

Come see some new pieces of mine that I will have on display including this one!
