Vance Knob Sunrise Platter #2
18"W x 3"D
This spirited raku landscape platter was hand built and fired using the raku pottery firing process. The landscape depicted, as with my raku wall pieces, were inspired by the views from my studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Weaverville, NC. This raku pottery piece is wired and ready to hang. Each of my raku piece was either thrown and created on the potter's wheel or hand built.
All of my raku glaze recipes were personally developed, which to me makes the work more personal and more intimate. The glazes are then poured, sprayed and/or painted each raku piece.
