This colorful art platter was hand built using the raku pottery firing process. The landscape depicted is similar to my raku wall pieces that were inspired by the views from my studio in the Smoky Mountains near Asheville, NC. To see more of my raku sculptures please click here. Each of my raku sculptures was either thrown or created on the potter's wheel or hand built.
All of my glaze recipes were personally developed, which to me makes the work more personal and more intimate. The glazes are then sprayed, poured and/or painted on the pieces.
