12"W x 22"H
This copper raku sculpture was hand built using the Amerian raku pottery process. It is glittered with unique textures and colors and is like nothing I’ve done before. It was first developed on the potter’s wheel and altered before being fired. Special proprietary glazes and underglazes were carefully applied before being raku fired. Creating my own glaze recipes means the work is more personal and each piece is truly unique.
Raku Pottery Firing
The most common combustibles used with my raku pottery are organic materials such as leaves, straw, sawdust, or paper. Once I apply them to my raku pottery, they melt in the firing and leave some truly incredible results. The fundamental elements of my creative process make each piece unique and no two vessels are alike. If you are looking for a one of a kind statement piece, this ceramic teardrop makes a wonderful gift for your home or any interior setting.
